The BioSingularity TELETHON is the name under which Molecular Reality Corporation announces live sessions with its founder in EQBio-OS, its members' software. When a session is on the air, a ticker runs across the top of the software, reading "BioSingularity TELETHON live NOW click to join". In the software's left rail it is simply "TELETHON".[1] Its sessions began on the company's internet radio station, Radio KENT, and later moved to a video call.

Ticker

The ticker is a band 32 pixels tall fixed to the top of the screen, shaded from coral red through pink to blue and pulsing every two seconds, with the sentence in white capitals and lower case. It repeats the sentence six times, with a dot after each repetition, and takes 28 seconds to complete one loop. Behind it runs an identical copy of the same six sentences, hidden from screen readers, so that the loop scrolls without a visible seam: the markup holds the sentence twelve times.[1] For screen readers its label adds the words "live broadcast". Clicking anywhere on the ticker joins the session, and in the menu the entry has a broadcast icon in pink, blue and teal. During a broadcast the left-rail entry gains a green "ON AIR", and on a phone a small pill marked TELETHON shows a green badge. When nothing is on, members find Radio KENT's away message: "Radio KENT is currently off the air. Check back soon!"[1]

Name

"BioSingularity" joins biology to the technological singularity, the point at which, in the idea's usual form, technology begins to improve itself faster than people can follow. The company's characters use the word. Its profile page for Keltar, the felt mascot, says he has "traversed the sequence spaces of the multiverse to guide civilizations toward life-saving technological singularities".[2] The capitals of "TELETHON" are the software's own.

Sessions

The company's calendar for the spring of 2026 included a "LATE NIGHT SAVE THE WORLD EMERGENCY BROADCAST" on April 10, a "Saturday TELETHON" on April 25, a "May Day All Hands Meeting" on May 2 and an "Epic Jamboree!" on May 18.[1] Members could reply to an invitation on the calendar to say they would attend. After the Saturday session, the founder awarded experience points with a message titled "FWI will be W": "Thanks for attending our sparsely attended meeting and coming up with the 'secret third thing' framing!"[3]

Format

On Radio KENT a member who clicked the ticker heard the broadcast in the browser and could ask to call in; an approved caller was told "You're up. Turn on your microphone to join TELETHON."[1] After the station's own audio was switched off, a session could go live only with a link to a video call, and the ticker now leads to "TELETHON is on the air. Join via Google Meet:" and the link. The software's tour explains: "this is where we meet! will be our own platform soon, for now it opens a google meet link. nothing fancy. show up, say hi, see what we're working on."[4]
